Garden Gnomes around the country are starting to get excited........

The fourth annual “A Gnome Away From Home” Event will be taking place in Collingwood on Friday 20, Saturday 21, and Sunday 22 August 2010.   Wouldn’t you like to bring your favourite Gnome/s to Collingwood for a weekend of fun filled adventure?

Last year adventurous gnomes took part in a quiz night, explored Farewell Spit, bungy jumped, flying gnomed, and raced along Collingwood’s main street – see our website photo gallery for photos of gnomes at play, and login to facebook to check out our "A Gnome Away From Home" page.

This year we are going to do it all again:

Friday 20 August 2010 - Quiz Night
7.00pm at the Collingwood Tavern
Teams of 4 - $5.00 per person
Limited space so please book early.

Saturday 21 August 2010 - Farewell Spit Eco Tour
10.00am - departs from Farewell Spit Tours Office
6 Tasman Street, Collingwood
$60.00 per person (normally $120.00 adult)

Sunday 22 August 2010 - Gnome Sports
9.30am - Gnome Run
Fun for the Gnome Associates
A 3.8 km run/walk around the street of Collingwood.
$10.00 per person.  Participants wear a gnome hat.
Register by 13 August 2010.

10.00am - Gnome Fun Begins
Gnome Racing
Gnome Tossing
Gnome Carrying
Exploding Gnome
and other exciting activities for the adventurous Gnome.

1st prize - Single Bed Quilt.
2nd prize - Cot Quilt.
Tickets $2.00 each.  Drawn on Sunday 22 August 2010
Proceeds to Collingwood Area School, for purchase of Aquatic Equipment.
