A Gnome Away From Home - August 2011 The fifth annual A Gnome Away From Home Event was held in Collingwood over the weekend of 26-28 August 2011. Gnomes are now all back in their gardens after a few days of fun and games in Collingwood. Gnomes and their associates had fun at the Quiz night, on Farewell Spit and also in Collingwood's main street with bungy gnoming, gnome tossing, gnome pin bowling and gnome racing.
The team at Farewell Spit Eco Tours would like to thank all those who took part and those who helped to make the weekend a success. We would also like to thank all who sponsored prizes for the Quiz night, Find a gnome competition, and Summit Rescue Helicopter "Golden Bay Experience" raffle.
