Between September and April you can join our Argo at the entrance to the Nature Reserve for a two hour trip with the focus on migrant Waders.
You, a maximum of four other people and a guide leave as th tide is rising to spend time near the base of the spit observing the birds flying in to roost as the tide chases them across the inter-tidal plain. The Argo is open and the spit can be windy so please plan accordingly.
Tours operate from October until the end of March. Check our departure times and prices for possible tour dates.
We would like to invite you to "Share our Spit"
This album has photos of our vehicles, and some of the birdlife and scenery you could experience on your tour of Farewell Spit
Sometimes we are lucky enough to be on Farewell Spit when something interesting or unusual has been washed up. Take a look at our photos to see some of the things we have found.
Farewell Spit Eco Tours Office is situated in Tasman Street, Collingwood. We have occupied the same building for over 60 years. This is the Departure point for the Farewell Spit Eco Tour, the Gannet Colony Tour and the Wader Watch Tour.
It is the check in point for the Lighthouse Tour. Here you will receive your bus pass and directions to the pick up point at the Base of Farewell Spit at Puponga
